Wine Blog & Wine Reviews by The WineGuy
A place to keep tasteful wine reviews of my favorite wines. I started posting wine news to my wine blog for you and everyone else, sometimes it there is humor involved because I drank the whole bottle before I posted....hiccupppp!. But Seriously, It has been a few years now and I have had a lot of friends ask me to recommend different wines from Chile or Spain or Italy or California...and then they want to run out and buy them. So I started keeping track of the wines I like and don't like along with some fun wine facts, wine articles and ratings and wine maps. One day I may even offer wine merchandise here at WineGuys.info. I hope I can help you enjoy the art of wine as much as I do.
But please remember to drink responsibly...cause otherwise you'll find yourself with no wine!

2005 Shiraz Cabernet Monastrell

comments: so this is an interesting wine from spain. This definately needs a couple of hours to breathe. It got much better later on. Nice blend, not many flavors. Like the bottle says “It won’t bite”.

2005 LODI
where: home
comments: Another $9.99 classic. Very delicious rich tasting wine, spicey plum..but not too spicey. Smooth finish. This is my favorite type of wine. The kind that has a lot of flavor but keeps it in the mouth, not down the throat. You’ll find most of my favorites tend to follow this theory.
Enjoy with Steak, barbecue, pasta(as usual)

comments: A delicious full bodied syrah. has more weight and flavor than many other wines much more expensive. This is a great deal at 9.99. Dry with a smooth finish. Enjoy with Pasta and Steak as well as for cocktail hour.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
where: My house
comments: Although, this says it is only a Cabernet, it has some Merlot juice to it. I thought for the money and the talk it would be better. I thought it lacked some taste and was not as good as lesser priced Cabs at $22. It is a smooth wine however. Oh well. Also, you should note, my wife who loves Ravenswood, “didn’t necessarily like it”.
It did go down well with pasta and fish and also did it’s job to take the daily edge off.
